A great disappointment for Adele fans, as the 25 year old singer has reportedly declined the offer to perform at this years Super Bowl Pepsi Halftime Show.
At a concert in LA the singer made a statement in regards to the rumors. Adele was straightforward with her fans, saying, "First of all, I’m not doing the Super Bowl, I mean, come on, that show is not about music. And I don’t really — I can’t dance or anything like that. They were very kind, they did ask me, but I did say no."
Though there are reports of the NFL and Superbowl sponsor, Pepsi, admitting they were supporters of hers, they both deny ever offering her the spot. They released a press statement saying,"We have had conversations with several artists about the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show. However, we have not at this point extended a formal offer to Adele or anyone else. We are focused on putting together a fantastic show for Houston and we look forward to revealing that in good time."
The Super Bowl will be held in Houston, Texas this year on February 5, 2017.
